Path of Nature Photography and Art
A collection of my favourite photos I've taken, and paintings I've done. All inspired by the natural surroundings of beautiful Southwestern British Columbia.

You, a rose.
Glowing blood red petals,
Soothing dark green leaves.
Your threatening dagger-like thorns
Pierced deep in my trembling palm,
As I hold your stem so tightly.
My essence trickles down, escaping
The roughness of my hand.
This is worth the pain.
Like this,
I am prepared
To hold you forever.

Gwynn Vaughn Park
Visited this nice little park yesterday. The house on this lot is over a century old, and is a heritage home maintained by caretakers who live in it year-round. The gardens around it are wonderful!

Precious moments in the Kootenays - part 3
We took a drive into the Mount Broadwood Heritage Conservation Area, located just outside of Elko, British Columbia. Followed the Lodgepole River for approx 5 miles outside of town. The weather was generally rainy throughout, but then let up when we stopped at a great viewpoint, revealing what is called the 'China Wall', which is actually Mount Broadwood.
